TAMALA WELLS: DETROIT, MICHIGAN
9/10/2012: Tamala Wells (33) of Detroit, Michigan hasn’t been seen or heard from since 8/6/2012 and the white, four-door Pontiac Grand Prix she was driving was found abandoned on Coventry Street, between Lantz Avenue and Emery Street. At the time of her disappearance, the mother of two was living with her boyfriend who claims Tamala was “just going out to take care of some business.” Tamala’s brother, Ricardo Wells, said he talks to or sees his sister usually 5 times a week and says it’s totally uncharacteristic of her not to contact anyone. Tamala is 5’6” and 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and jean shorts. Anyone with information on Wells’ whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit police at 313-596-5240 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Above all, capitalism wastes human life. The U.S. spends billions to warehouse 2 million people—many of them young Black and Latino men—in overcrowded prisons. It provides sub-par education to millions of poor students, sending a message that their lives will amount to nothing.
Are people homeless in America because there’s a shortage of homes? And if that’s the case, is there a shortage of homes because we don’t have the concrete, the wood and the steel to build them?
The truth is that under capitalism, there’s no incentive to build low-cost housing for the homeless—because it isn’t profitable to do so.
The same goes for the more than 800 million people in the world who go hungry. It isn’t profitable to feed them. So food is stockpiled or destroyed rather than distributed to them.

No, fuck you, tag this “racism,” “murder,” “KKK,” “white supremacy.” Oh wait, I’ll do it for you. This is a LOT of shit, but one thing it isn’t is “bad ass,” and it’s certainly not a representation of “justice.”
And before you pull the “I’m honoring my heritage” bullshit - it is NOT OKAY to honor your heritage if you heritage is slavery, lynchings, oppression, murder, torture, and rape.
You better get a knife and CARVE that thing off your body, because it makes me want to puke.

How is it just to have enslaved people?
What is just about having beat them?
What is just about chasing them for trying to escape, and maiming them to punish them from trying to do it again?
What is just about the fact that you tried to SECEDE FROM THE COUNTRY rather than give up your slaves?
What is just about the fact that that LYNCHING NOOSE you have next to your “proud rebel flag” was used to hang people of color unjustly?
What about your heritage is there to be proud of in light of all that? The justice would be for every confederate flag to be burned and never displayed again.
