So many people still think that that Romney is so ridiculous that there is no point in voting. But Romney’s ideas and stances are not far from any other republicans. Not far from older voters who will definitely use their voice and vote.

When Mitt Romney talks about $200,000 as being the lower bound of “middle income” or his wife makes clueless remarks about how they were struggling so hard they had to sell stock to get by, they sound like clowns or bad parodies of themselves but they’re actually committing an error of insulation. They are assuming that the people they know and the people they surround themselves with are a broad cross-section of humanity.
And when we say, “There is no way that someone could listen to this guy and vote for him.”, we’re committing the exact same error.
If our cluelessness puts this man’s cluelessness into office, it will be our fault and our shame.
