My fellow atheists…
I have a serious question. Why do you feel the need to jump into conversations about personal expressions of faith? If you see a conversation about a religious ritual, service, or ceremony, I don’t see why you need to jump in the conversation and discuss why you believe God isn’t real.
Now, if that person is being racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic, call them out on that bullshit. Hatred wrapped in religion is still hatred and needs to be exposed for what it is. If that person is advocating that we make a certain part of their religion mandatory, call them on that shit too. If the conversation just revolves around how they personally choose to express their faith, I don’t see why your input is needed.
